In this proposal we are working the topics of travelling together with countries, nationalities and even stereotypes. How? The students will develop a research project on countries they would like to visit to then share and create a "Wall of Fame" in class and debate.
Do you want to start the trip?

Metodología:

1. Show an image of many passports and talk about it to introduce the topic of travelling, countries...

2. Prepare "Pasapalabra" game online.

3. Each group develops a research project on a country they would like to visit and prepare a Pecha-Kucha presentation while being evaluated by their classmates.

4. Debate best countries for different activities and come to a class agreement.

Recursos Materiales:

- Computer with Internet access and PDI/ projector for the teacher.
- Computer with Internet access for each group of 3-4 students.
- Printer.
- Grid for writing down information about presentations.
- Rubric for peer-evaluations

Sugerencias:

The activity proposed to review countries and nationalities (Pasapalabra) may take some time to prepare but, especially, to get it done by the technician. Take that into account in your planning although you may have it ready for the time you finish the whole project.

I recommend all students have a GMAIL account as it allows them to collaborate online very easily at the same time it facilitates the teacher his/her planning (for example, if you need to use picassa, you don't have to plan a time ahead the activity for them to register as it's a google service)

Instrumentos de evaluación:

This proposal should be evaluated attending to:
1) Individual work: participation, interaction with classmates, handing out individual tasks.
2) Group work: ability to work together, performance (clear, ordered dialogue; use of new vocabulary and expressions; turn-taking; pronunciation; originality)
