World myths and legends
Explain they are going to focus on a particular myth or legend in the world so before, they should get a general idea of the WORLD MAP.
Here they will see there are different pins according the myths and legends found in each country or continent. Of course, there are many more but these are what other people have written:
- Africa (1)
- Australia (1)
- Germany (1)
- Greece (5)
- Northern Ireland (1)
- Scotland (4)
- Wales (3)
- England (quite a lot)
Students, in groups of 4-5 should choose a country or continent, read about them in the map and they compile information on the web. For that purpose, make sure there is a computer with Internet access for each group.
Once they have the information, they gather and organize it in a poster. It can be:
- A traditional poster
- An interactive poster (GLOGSTER) where they can insert images and videos.
Then, they will take turns to present their posters to the class. The rest of students will fill in in a grid with the information received to check they understood it and to grade their peers.
