Gimme 20

"Gimme 20":

1. The teacher shows a picture related to food or drink.
2. The students, in groups of 3-4, brainstorm and write down 20 words dealing with the image.
3. Then, allow time to categorize them.
4. Share as a big group and the students note down the new vocabulary o that everybody has the same words.
5. Then ask them to write a simple story using those words. It can be done individually, in pairs or in groups. The winner is the person/pair/group with more words used and with the most original story.
