Having a shower
A bath uses more water than a shower (50-150 litres). Many people have a very long shower every day and this uses 40 litres! . Personal washing uses about 34% of all our water in the house every day.
A five minute shower: 50 liters
A ten minute shower: 100 liters
Having a bath : 300 liters approximately
Flushing the toilet:
The use of the toilet consumes a lot of water. Every time we use it we spend 10 to 15 liters of clean drinking water . The new models of tank use 6 liters. Toilets use 29% of all our water in the house every day.

Each time you wash your hands or brush your teeth and you let the water run, you use 1-2 litres of water

We use water in the kitchen to wash vegetables, fruit and to cook. Often we let the water run and we waste a lot of water down the sink. We use 3,5 % of our water everyday in the kitchen but only a very small part of this is for drinking.

The water we use to drink depends on the number of people that we are in the family and the season in which we are; in winter we usually consume less than in summer.
Using the washing machine , using the dishwasher
Washing machines use a lot of water. Often we only wash a few things and so we waste a lot of water. Each washing machine uses 30-100 litres of water. . A dish washer uses 30-50 litres each time. Washing clothes uses 13% of all our water every day

Cleaning the house
We use water for cleaning cars, dishes, windows, floors and doors in our houses every day. Cleaning uses 9% of all our water every day.
Water the garden :With a hose ; 8 liters per minute
Water the car: with a hose: 8 liters per minute
We use fresh water to water plants and flowers in the garden. We could save water by using rain water. Watering the garden uses 6.6 % of our water everyday. Watering the garden and other uses of the water represents the 11,50 % of the daily use of water.
