Introducing vocabulary

Teach new vocabulary with the following set of flashcards from a Power Point presentation: Easter, Easter eggs, the Easter Bunny, an Easter basket, Easter egg hunt, hiding, dyeing, Easter Day Parade, decorating, a chick, a lamb, a chocolate bunny, jelly beans, a tulip, white lilies.

Note: you can of course skip slides number 17, 18 and 19.

Take out the Easter Bunny picture. Teacher points to the Easter eggs in the bunny's basket and asks what they are and teaches: "Easter egg". Teacher takes out a mini-Easter egg (the type which is covered in colorful foil). Teacher elicits: "Easter egg" and "chocolate". Teacher teaches the colours of the foil. Teacher takes out a small basket (or even a paper box is fine) and teaches "basket". Put the egg in the basket.
