Students sit down facing the teacher. Teacher takes out the eight plastic fruit. Takes one and says “Yummy! I like (apples)!”. Teacher puts it to his/her right side. Then takes another fruit and does the same. Next, takes a fruit and says “Yuk! I don’t like (melons)”. Puts it to his/her left. Teacher keeps going with the rest of the fruit until he/she has some fruit (likes) on his/her right and some (dislikes) on his/her left. Teacher puts the fruit he/she likes in front of his/her and says “I like apples, grapes, pineapples … etc".). Then asks a student “What fruit do you like?”. Teacher encourages him/her to say “I like …” and list the fruit he/she likes. Teacher goes around the classroom asking each student the question.
